The hands-on Preserving the Season’s Harvest workshop focuses on the principles of making jams, preserves and marmalades. It’s the perfect workshop if your garden offers a bountiful harvest, but you’re not sure what to do with your excess produce.
This course is designed to teach you how to make jams, pastes, pickles and the art of basic canning so that you can preserve your home harvest and extend your seasonal produce year-round.
Meet your trainer
Lauren Mueller‘s interest in fermentation and preserving began about four years ago when she started gaining an understanding of how much food goes to waste in Australia and elsewhere. Her explorations into food security led her into learning more about the magic of fermentation and pickling and she became enthralled in the process and intrigued by its amazing health benefits.
