Early learning
Our early learning activities are based on nature connection and wellbeing, inspired by our values at CERES: “helping people fall in love with the Earth, again.”
This fun and relaxed two-hour class designed for beginners, will teach you the basic stitches to make a ‘granny square’ and get you started on your DIY project. You’ll be able to make your own crochet blanket for those cooler winter nights or surprise your friends with great crocheted gifts. All crochet materials needed will be supplied.
These classes book out quickly and everyone always comes away with great new skills and wanting more.
You’ll learn:
Leisa Thrippleton has always been creative and interested in crafts, having been doing art and craft work all throughout her schooling years and into her adult life. Leisa took up crocheting more than eight years ago while she was working in the city and wanted to fill in her time while she was on the train. Leisa is considered an advanced crocheter, having completed many projects from easy levels to complicated projects – one even took her six months to finish.
Leisa has now started her own crochet business called the Crochet Hut which is based in the Melbourne suburb of Berwick.
