CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING

Getting Here
Address: Corner Stewart Street and Roberts Street, Brunswick East. Schools enter via the Lee St gate.
Public Transport: We recommend public transport as a sustainable and affordable way to get your school group to CERES. The 96 tram stop is only a 5-minute walk away, and this tram intersects with many other train and tram routes, making it convenient to connect from all across Melbourne. Bus: Drop off/pick up on corner of Lee and Roberts Street. Parking at Mayer Park on Normanby Avenue.
Once you arrive
We will come and greet you. If you arrive before we do, please head to the schools meeting point on Lee Street or call us on 9389 0144.

Schedule
Full Day (10am – 2pm): Includes 3 activities, breaks, and time to explore CERES including our famous Terra Wonder Playspace.
- Welcome & Introductions: 20 mins
- Session 1 with CERES Educator: 45 mins
- Break: 20 mins
- Session 2 with CERES Educator: 45 mins
- Break: 30 mins
- Session 3 with CERES Educator: 45 mins
Running times are approximate and subject to change.
Additional Details
WEATHER
Dress for all outdoor weather conditions(raincoat, hat and sun protection). If extreme weather is predicted, please reschedule.
STORAGE
- You will have a ‘home base’ to store bags.
- Leave valuables at home or keep them on you.
- Ensure food is tucked away securely(our magpies are cheeky).
Accessibility
- Some areas of the park/farm can be tricky to navigate in wheelchairs.

Purchasing food
We have two cafes you can visit – with food made from produce off the farm. High traffic at lunch times can create long wait times.
- The Grocery – Hot & cold drinks, bakery, fruit, snacks & grab-and-go lunch items.
- The Merri Cafe – Hot & cold drinks, chef made meals and more.
Please note these spaces are open to the public and we rely on trade to support CERES. A single student group can fill the whole space, so please be prompt when moving through.
Rubbish
We encourage you to bring rubbish-free lunches and ask you to take home any rubbish you create. We will provide a bin for recyclables and one for food scraps to feed to the chooks!

On the day
- Your CERES Educator will arrive 30 minutes before start time to set up.
- Please save a parking spot close to your school.
- Sessions will run in one classroom, with 10-15 minutes for changeover in between.
- The classroom teacher must be present and has duty of care.

- Ensure you have our agreed video meeting platform (Zoom, WebX, Google Meets, MS Teams) ready to go. We most often use Zoom, but let us know what suits when you book.
Equipment
- Tablet or mobile device
- PC, laptop or smartboard
- For in-school we recommend one smartboard and a minimum of 1 device per 3 students
On the day
- You will be sent a URL beforehand for your session.
- The session will open 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- The session is live and interactive – we encourage students to have their video on and unmute when speaking.
- Q & A kept open to allow students to communicate with CERES educators.
