Empowering young leaders to create a sustainable future.
A Student Leadership Summit is a full day event held at a venue in your region that unites student leaders from multiple schools to envision a sustainable future. This immersive experience motivates and encourages young people to take action and create a meaningful impact in their schools and communities.
The Summit includes interactive activities, discussion, and planning, facilitated by CERES’ experts in sustainability education. With multiple schools in attendance, young leaders have a rare opportunity to connect, collaborate, and be inspired by their peers from a diverse range of backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.
The Summit is a great way for councils to foster school community collaboration and achieve biodiversity, waste, and community engagement goals. The Summit experience can be delivered to either primary (3-6) or secondary (7-10) students, and we welcome council collaboration in Summit learning design.
The Student Leadership Summit is built around connection, confidence, understanding, inspiration, and change.
In their Summit experience, students will:
“It was heartening to see students from our primary schools come together with a shared passion for environmental conservation and sustainability. The summit not only equipped them with knowledge about pressing environmental issues but also instilled in them a sense of agency and responsibility to enact positive change in our community.
CERES provided a platform for these future leaders to collaborate, innovate, and inspire others to take action towards a greener, more sustainable future.
Their dedication and enthusiasm are a testament to the effectiveness of initiatives like these in shaping the environmental leaders of tomorrow.”
