A workshop with a difference, students will learn about the seasonal edible weeds that thrive in Melbourne’s inner north, and gain knowledge about the plants’ culinary, medicinal and ecological uses. This session will include a CERES site tour to identify local weeds as well as a demonstration and sampling of prepared edible weeds.
Meet your trainer
Lauren Mueller has worked for a number of years in bush regeneration, is part of a gardening co-operative and is studying western herbal medicine. Through these experiences she has developed the skills and knowledge to identify which weeds around Melbourne can be used both for culinary and medicinal purposes.
