ResourceSmart in Early Childhood

CERES School of Nature and Climate Teacher Programs delivers the ResourceSmart in Early Childhood program.

The ResourceSmart in Early Childhood program helps early learning centres embed sustainable practices into their service operations in order to meet National Quality Standard 3.2.3 (NQS 3.2.3) – The service cares for the environment and supports children to become environmentally responsible.

This program has been adapted from the well established ResourceSmart Schools program which is one of the longest running environmental education programs in Australia and can boast long standing impacts and achievements over 15 years.

A key point of difference to other sustainability programs is the provision of an experienced and supportive facilitator who delivers staff professional development, provides extensive face to face contact to work through the program checklist, expert advice, sustainability resources, assessment advice, and phone, email and newsletter updates.
