This program assists schools in creating and maintaining a habitat garden, as well as conducting a Biodiversity audit.
Connects to the following modules of ResourceSmart Schools: Biodiversity
Accessible to schools in the following Melbourne metropolitan regions: Eastern, Northern and Southern
Appropriate for students in:
Primary – Grade 3 to Grade 6
Secondary – Year 7 to Year 10
What is offered to schools:
8 schools have the opportunity to:
- Participate in at least one planting at a site in Melbourne, getting the skills students need to go back and plant their own habitat garden
- Assistance from a Greening Australia educator to undertake a biodiversity audit in the school grounds
- Support with creating and maintaining a habitat garden
