Biodiversity Monitoring Tools
Using technology to record observations of flora and fauna can engage students with the environment and encourages them to stop and look at what is around them. It is also likely that a lot of your families will have a smartphone, so encouraging students to record what they see out of school time is a great way to involve parents in what you are doing in the classroom.
Below are a few of the apps and/or websites that are available to record biodiversity observations. Most of these will allow you to set up a specific project for your students, that way you can make it relevant to them and your area.
