World Oceans Day for Schools

On Friday the 7th of June, students at Tulliallan Primary School celebrated World Oceans Day. World Oceans Day is an international event where people around the world celebrate the ocean and work together to protect the marine environment.

Our students wore blue or dressed as their favourite marine creature to fundraise for the Dolphin Research Institute. The ‘i sea, i care’ Marine Ambassadors also sold stainless steel straws and ran peer teaching activities throughout the day. In total, our school raised $637.40, which is a tremendous effort!

It was also wonderful to see so many students getting involved in lunchtime clean up activities, pledging to reduce their single-use plastic use and working together to protect the environment.

Well done on a fantastic day!
