Water Audit @ Mother Teresa
Water @ Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School
A small group of children went on a water audit walk today. They were armed with a checklist, a pen, a clipboard and some curiosity. When we were walking around the school we were tuning in to all the different sources of water and the ways we use it as at school- from water tanks to toilets to drinking taps to the dishwasher in the staffroom.
Through our walk we found that we are very sensible in how we use water in our community. The areas we need to be careful with are in the toilets and the drinking taps. In the toilets we need to remind people not to shake the water all over the floor- it is unsafe and a waste of water too. We found out the drinking taps will need to be cleaned out regularly especially at the moment because of the leaves from the trees.
