Carey Donvale’s Year 4 students efficiently manage the various waste systems and have been excited to receive the newest waste system – ‘Compost Cannons’. These cardboard cylinders have holes in them and a mesh cap and are installed straight into the veggie garden, ensuring the nutrient rich compost is delivered directly to the vegetables. Carey Donvale already have a compost bin, tumbler, green cone waste digesters, worm farms and now the compost cannons.
