TREE DAY TERM 3 2020
When: Friday 31st July 2020 (Term 3)
Where: All Saints Parish Primary School – on school grounds behind the 3/4 and 5/6 Classrooms
Who was involved: 92 children planted trees. Families were invited to purchase seedlings, tree guards and stakes for $15.
Due to COVID-19 we were unable to invite families to plant seedlings with their children.
All seedlings were purchased from Seawinds Nursery in Portland. The species purchased are local native and indigenous tube stock. Tree guards and stakes were purchased from Arborgreen (online).
Children were timetabled to plant their trees throughout the day and then sent back to their classrooms when finished. Siblings were grouped together, as some families purchased one tree to share while others were able to plant their own siblings together.
