The Red Project
At the beginning of the year we began the Red Project. Firbank’s aim was to collect as much soft plastic as we could. When the bin is full the soft plastic inside it is taken to a factory where all of the plastic is recycled. The point of this project was to collect soft plastic from home and from school so we wouldn’t be throwing away as much soft plastic into landfill.
This is of course helping our environment. So far we have collected heaps of soft plastic and almost everyone has made an effort to bring in soft plastic. Whether it was from home or even just the soft plastic in people’s lunchboxes, it all helps! We hope there is more soft plastic to come so we can help save our environment.
