At Tulliallan Primary school, we are committed to reducing the waste we send to landfill and minimising our impact on the planet. A big part of our waste reduction program is our compost system. Since the school opened, we have separated our food scraps and placed them in the compost cones and worm farms. However, as our school has grown a lot and more students have been bringing Nude Food to school, we realised that we needed additional composting systems to deal with our organic waste.
In Term 1, several students from the Green Team put their persuasive writing skills to the test by writing to Bunnings Warehouse in Cranbourne requesting their help. We are so pleased to announce that Bunnings have donated 300 dollars to our school to assist us with setting up extra compost cones and worm farms.
We look forward to setting these up and continuing to work with Bunnings Cranbourne on sustainability projects in the future.
