In order to reduce the waste we send to landfill, we have a colour coded system throughout the school that allows us to sort recyclables & organics from general waste. We have a skip for paper & cardboard that is baled & sold to recycled paper product manufacturers. We use the shire kerbside collection for mixed recyclables. Organic waste is composted at school & put back into our gardens using worm farms and several other styles of composting.
