Grade 1’s used rulers and note pads to measure and document the growth of new silverbeet seedlings and more mature specimens. Although this is a common activity, students love to pick and eat, dig and discover, as part of the experience. Connecting to other life forms and developing a passion to take veg growing skills home are always the main foci.
