School Sustainability Website
Students at St Gregory’s have been using visual prompts on switches to remind them to switch off lights. Students also take care to turn off computers at the end of the day. We are looking to continue to empower students to show sustainable habits. Our Year 6 Sustainability Captains will be working with Sustainability Helpers in other levels to assist with this process.
Our first focus will be on ‘Energy’. Our Sustainability Captains have created Google Slide Presentation about ‘Energy’. This presentation is on our new school sustainability website, Sustainability Adventures. The captains have started sharing this with classes. Their presentation includes slides about renewable and non-renewable energy and how to save energy.
In a few weeks the Sustainability Helpers will be voted in. These helpers will assist with monitoring class energy usage and sharing stories about energy use/conservation with the whole school.
