Rosella Nest Box
Our school celebrated the next phase of the school’s bird nesting boxes that were part of the Inquiry curriculum for Grade 3/4 students.
As part of our school being a ResourceSmart School, students have been working with local council and Greening Australia to help the native animals in our area to prosper. We built 15 bird nesting boxes which were installed around the school along with 2 brush-tailed possum boxes and 2 ring-tailed possum boxes.
Below is an image taken of an Eastern Rosella that is currently looking for a suitable nest site and is seen coming out of one of the student nest boxes.

We are all very excited to see that we can make a difference to the health of our local species.
