The ResourceSmart Schools Awards 2014 was held on Monday Sept 8th at the Melbourne Convention Centre, and like previous years, the CERES Education Outreach team was there to cheer on these great schools!

There was an excited buzz as students and teachers slowly filled the venue, anticipating the ceremony and whether their school would take home an award this year.

CERES and our consortia are currently working with 259 schools as part of the ResourceSmart Schools initiative. 14 of our schools were up as finalists this year, with 7 taking home the prize. Watching our schools get acknowledged for all the hard work they’ve put into their sustainability projects is always a proud moment for us! Congratulations again to all finalists and winners of this year’s awards.
