We’re excited to announce that entries for this year’s ResourceSmart Education Awards are now open!
The ResourceSmart Schools Awards program is run by Sustainability Victoria and is our State’s largest sustainability awards program for schools and early childhood services.
The awards reward and recognise Victorian early childhood services, primary and secondary schools, students, educators and teachers for their outstanding achievements across various areas of sustainability.
Winners and finalists will share in more than $40,000 in cash and prizes to support their sustainability initiatives. We encourage you enter to celebrate your sustainability project and inspire other Victorian schools to take action on climate change. Enter your project in any of the award categories open for entry. Enter three or more categories and your school could be in the running for the prestigious ResourceSmart School of the Year 2015 award.
Winners and finalists will be invited to the awards ceremony which will be held on Wednesday, 14th October 2015.

- Biodiversity School of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Community Leadership School of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Energy School of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Waste School of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Water School of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Student Action-led Team of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
- Teacher of the Year (Primary and Secondary)
There are two overall awards for schools:
- School of the Year
- Newcomer of the Year
Early childhood services one category is available for entry:
- Early Childhood Service of the Year
