ResourceSmart Achievements
ResourceSmart Schools Achievements
In the last year, ResourceSmart Schools have collectively achieved the following:
- Planted more than 40,000 plants
- Saved 11,000 tonnes of greenhouse emissions from being released in the environment
- Saved $4.1 million in costs
- Avoided 16,000m3 of waste
The students in P17 have been participating in our mini recycling project. They have enjoyed selecting the recycling bins, putting up the signs and using the different bins to sort and dispose their daily waste. This classroom-recycling project has inspired the students to care about the planet and to examine the resources that we use to make our world sustainable. The recycling “habit” developed in the classroom can serve to transform our communities and protect our planet. Well done boys!
