Reduce Reuse Recycle
We introduced some new recycling bins in the curriculum. We discussed what items can be placed in these bins (paper, cardboard, scraps of paper, empty boxes and cartons) Children have been given the responsibility to use the bins throughout the day to keep our kinder tidy and to encourage the practice of recycling paper. This box will be transferred to our large recycle bin that the Council picks up. We also discussed all the items that we use at kinder that are reusable, recyclable and donated (writing paper, cardboard, glass jars, wooden bowls, fabrics, office items in home corner, clothes etc)
We also watch an animated educational presentation about “reduce, reuse, recycle” It was accompanied with music, humour and simple messages. We will continue to reinforce these messages and practice sustainability at our kindergarten
