Green Team would like to thank everyone for joining us in our school’s Friday Fling last Friday 13th November for National Recycling Week!
It was great to see so many classes doing a spring clean, setting up scrap paper tubs and recycling. Our aim was to reduce, reuse BEFORE recycling…
Reduce – paper printed, use scrap paper instead of new paper
Reuse – use the other side, rethink & repurpose it into something else
Recycle – if both sides have been used
Why?
- There are literally thousands of tonnes of office paper stored in files around Australia that will never be used again. So we are participating in the National Recycling Week event to get good quality paper back into circulation.
Our lunch time notebook making session, by reusing single sided used paper, was a success! We were swamped with enthusiastic students using their creativity to make notebooks, diaries, rockets, pyramids and much, much more!
Well done to the Year 4 and Year 5 members of the Green Team on running the Notebook Making session. Thank you Mrs Sztrajt and Miss Hui for assisting us too.
