Petition for Premier Napthine to adopt cash for containers
Billions of drink containers lay waste to Australia every year. We know that a 10c refundable deposit on bottles & cans is the most effective, low-cost way to solve this, yet politicians remain beholden to the beverage industry. Though he admits “it is very effective,” Victoria Premier Denis Napthine refuses to act, continuing to ignore the 85% of Victorians and Australians who want it.
If enough of us voice our support before the November election he will have to act, triggering other states to follow. This is an urgent call to action for Australia’s future – we need cash for containers NOW! PLEASE SIGN & SHARE! http://bit.ly/10centsNOW
