ASPS School Fair – October 2016
After researching and designing the habitat garden, we created had a stall at the school fair. We had a poster competition for our habitat garden sign. People could make pledges towards different parts of our garden like plants, rocks and soil. You could even win a gardening kit! It was a long day and we hope to make another stall this year at our fair.
Stage 1 Working Bee – October 2017
On Friday the 20th of October the Green Team started the habitat garden. We planted lots of indigenous plants and log seats. We made the habitat garden to increase our school’s biodiversity. We successfully put in a pond thanks to Richard Jennings. We picked up a wheelbarrow full of rubbish
– yuck! Big thanks to the people who raised money at the fair last year and the parent helpers who helped at the working bee: Yali, Richard, Sarah and Siobhan. Keep your eyes peeled for our future working bees!
Stage 2 Working Bee – Deloitte IMPACT DAY – November 2017
We had a hard working bunch of volunteers from Deloitte who helped our gardens for the whole day with weeding and mulching in the habitat garden. They also helped us weed other garden areas including our our Indigenous Garden and put new sand into our sandpit. Thank you!
