On Friday July 27th it was Schools Tree Day and our school (KPS) had the opportunity to do something positive for our community and the environment by connecting with nature. This initiative started in 1996 and since then more than 3.8 million people have planted 24 million trees and plants. With the help from the Mornington Shire, the Mornington Shire Nursery at the Briars and Bunnings Warehouse Mornington we had a variety of indigenous grasses and shrubs to add to our already existing native vegetation. Overall, it was a great success and I would like to thank everyone involved.
