On Friday 11th of August 2017, 30 grade 3, 4, 5 and grade 6 students planted 120 trees as part of ‘National School Tree Day’. Students involved worked hard to dig holes, plant the trees, put tree protectors around them and water the plants and shrubs so they can thrive.

We would like to thank the Hume City Council for donating all the plants. Most of the trees were planted in the Wetlands and the back of the oval.

Thank you also to the students who spent over 1 and a half hours doing this amazing thing for the school. We’ve asked all students to make the effort to look after these trees by not trampling on them while playing along the oval fence line. This will ensure that the trees grow and continue to improve our school’s biodiversity.
