Sixteen of our Year 5/6 students displayed strong environmental leadership at the recent Environmental Leadership Camp held at the YMCA in Anglesea.
The camp is an opportunity for young leaders from primary schools along the Surf Coast to come together and share their school sustainability actions and learn about environmental issues both local and abroad.
Our students ran workshops on the marine debris they have been collecting from Fisherman’s Beach in Torquay and explored ways in which we could tackle this problem. They presented their project to students from Lorne, Aireys Inlet, Torquay and Anglesea.
We congratulate Nicole, Charlotte, River, Tullulah, Hamish, Paris, Rio, Miller, Jack, Isaac, Ella, Kirra, Mia, Harry, Ava and Georgia for their participation and leadership in this area.
