The Whitefriars College Environment Center has undergone a major renovation by the Year 8 classes. The arrival of a shipping container and focusing on sustainability in the Science Learning Area created an opportunity for the neglected Environment Center to develop into a potential outdoor learning space. Year 8 took on the role of architects, surveyors, landscapers, gardeners, painters, waste managers, recycle managers, furniture restorers, pavers and project managers. Over Term 4, the Year 8 students have created an area that has the potential to become a wonderful outdoor learning space that can be utilized for learning and well being through curriculum, clubs or personal relaxation.
