In 2013, a group of 6 yr9 EnviroFriends students attended a 3 day conference called Power Shift. This conference, run by AYCC, outlined many of the issues surrounding climate change, including government policy and the then, upcoming elections. This inspired these students to run a mock election back at school. This was a perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of elections and how serious climate change is. These students worked hard with several of their classmates to present a mock election to all 300 year 10s, over the span of 3 sessions, and plan to present this again in 2014. The presentation has been attached.
