On Thursday the 22nd of September, four of our Enviro Team members attended an Environmental Conference held at Aitken College. This was a great opportunity for us to see a school that has achieved their 5 Star ResourceSmart accreditation. We attended sessions held by the school’s Year 10 Environmental Science class. We were able to visit the school’s wetland areas and farm animals, see their windmills, water tanks and treatment plant, find water bugs from their local creek, as well as meet their lizards, snake and burrowing cockroaches (Ms Clark wasn’t a fan of the cockroaches!!). This school is very impressive in their environmental achievements and has given us a lot of ideas for things to do at our school.
