The new CERES Permaculture Design Course (PDC) is like a ‘user’s manual’ for the planet you live on. As we explore the huge elements that drive our living planet (energy, climate, geology, ecology etc.) we will stay grounded in the simple, practical steps participants can take to live full and meaningful lives within the limits of what nature offers.
The design skills of the CERES PDC will embolden participants to make clear decisions that balance big-picture thinking with local, practical life choices, whether applied to a rental property in the inner city, or a large rural setting.
Exceeded expectations. Gave me a real solid foundation to pick some streams to learn and build more resilience
I learned more about the world, not just gardening. The course has changed my outlook and solidified my values in a way I didn’t expect but am so pleased about.
I loved meeting a really wholesome group of people that are passionate about making a change in the world. I think CERES handled the COVID challenge remarkably well and I was so glad that classes could continue each week. Local, practical information
Personally I came to into this course looking for actions and ideas for behavioural change that were grounded ethics and principles to guide my future and career. And that is exactly what I found! I really enjoyed that social permaculture was valued and explored just as equally as the more well known biological realm.
The PDC course has equipped me with practical skills that I can use immediately in my life, as well as within the community I live in. I enjoyed the different tutors and their various topics of interest. Meeting like-minded course mates is a real bonus.
It has has just been such a good flow to have a great focus over this half of the year. The weekly opportunity to focus on these powerful solutions has been great for me to be able to ponder and let topics settle – rather than frantically trying to grasp over a 2 week intensive.
I actually think CERE PDC exceeded my expectations – in terms of the course content. The excursions were invaluable in terms of the bredth of knowledge covered and the variety of sources of knowledge.
