CERES Community Environment Park is a 4.5 hectare green oasis in East Brunswick located on the Merri Creek. We have a range of social enterprises on-site such as our Honey Lane Farm, Merri Café, the CERES Bushfood and Native Nursery, CERES Propagation and our CERES Market and Grocery. Our non accredited VET programs provide a unique opportunity for students to learn in this vibrant and supported learning environment.
We can accommodate groups of up to 9 students in our commercial registered training kitchen to learn more about a wide range of sustainable food and develop practical culinary skills as they prepare and sit down to a shared lunch.

- Safe use of food preparation equipment
- Demonstration of culinary knife skills
- Preparation of a range of ingredients such as vegetables, fish, meat, eggs.
- Use of a range of cooking methods
- Preparation of pastries, cakes and yeast goods
- Hygienic work practices
- Clean kitchen premises
What should I wear?
- Students are asked to wear appropriate clothing for cooking with enclosed footwear and bring their own apron.
Tuition & Materials Total
Full Day 4 hour session (Groups of up to 9)
(includes 15 min break and 30 min lunch)
$625 per session
($137 ph tuition, $77 materials per session)
