Home Energy Audit

Are your lights left on when you leave the room? Is your heater running too high? Is cool air escaping through small cracks under your doors? Lets undertake a home energy audit to help us understand where and when our energy (electricity) is used, and find ways to reduce it!

To find out where your home’s energy comes from, as well as more helpful tips to reduce the amount of energy you use, check out this energy clip!

This lesson allows students to investigate how energy is used at home and identify where action can be taken to reduce energy use. Students will identify and record energy usage around the home and evaluate their homes energy use and suggest strategies to reduce energy consumption.
