One adult: 20 students. Minimum of 2 staff per group
Discover where food comes from and see it being produced in real time on our urban farm. Learn about different types of farming and how organic, local food systems are good for the environment and people.
- Discover what ‘urban farming’ means and how it can benefit the community and the environment
- Explore and understand the different practical skills of organic gardening and farming practices
- Identify the different processes needed to create compost and understand its role in regenerating soils
- Gain the skills to create your own compost at home or school
- Explore our global diet and identify the role of Indigenous knowledge and bushfoods can have on our food security into the future
