Educating 5Star sustainable schools from the ground up

CERES Education Outreach team is excited to be part of a new project which will see the delivery of 15 new schools in Victoria. This will be the largest new school building project in the State. Minister for Education and Deputy Premier James Merlino recently launched the Government\’s New Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) project at the future Mernda Central Prep-Year 12 School site.

The PPP model brings together significant expertise, including Amber as sponsor, ClarkeHopkinsClarke as architect, Watpac as builder, Spotless as facilities manager, YMCA as community partner and CERES as sustainability partner.

Minister for Education James Merlino states, “Using the PPP model brings together the best expertise and means our teachers and principals can focus on giving every child a world class education.

We were there at the launch for the first turning of the soil, and we are looking forward to taking the CERES message into schools and communities across Victoria.
